I really like this! I'm not too sure about the placement of the design on the tee though. I think it might work better if it's at the bottom of the shirt.

I think the same - just move it down the shirt a little, and go with the lighter grey castle so people focus on the pieces in the foreground!

I made the main three chess pieces bigger, and I played around with the background a little more. I still prefer the black city background on dark purple tee, but I the gray city on dusk purple looks nice too.



What do you think, folks? Ready for scoring?

The sirens seem to stand out a lot on the tee- might be better if they were toned down a bit so we could focues on the chess pieces.

Then how will we know we're in the Red Light District? ;)

The only thing that bugs me is the knight that is sticking out of the building in the background. It's light grey darker version (which I prefer the darker version by far) and it looks like it should be black.. idk I just think it looks sort of awkward with it's face a different color than what you can see of its body.

funny concept man. i prefer the purple T. the background sits much better in the composition.

sorry i meant the blue T (the one the bird is wearing). think am goin colour blind! ha

They're actually both purple, but I get what you're saying. :)



As for size, I suppose I can position it so that the ends of the chessboard wrap around the sides of the tee. And I'll see what my color count is and try making the red lights a little dimmer.

ahaha that's really funny and a great design too. i'd personally go with the second purple because the other seems too rich and saturated.

Sorry for the lack of activity on this WIP; got caught up in some other projects over the past month.



I've adjusted some of the colors (turns out I was over the 8-limit), and I removed red in the lights on the towers so that the focus stays on the lower portion of the design.

yeah, i remember this from about a month ago...

i like there pimp clothes.

Maybe all that castle/club stuff in the background is too big and overpowers the foreground stuff a bit. try making the background smaller and less dominate so the focus is on the three figures in the foreground.

Wow, that's really great. :) But I agree, the castle is alittle dominating--it's super cool, don't get me wrong, it's just distracting from the characters. If I were you, I'd shrink it a bit, lower the opacity and remove the light reflections (which create other distracting focal points).

LOVE THIS!! Esp. the darker version. I don't think the castle is too big, but I would totally shrink the light reflections down way smaller and change the red ones to match the color of the top ones. Such a great design!

I've reduced the size of "Chess City" as suggsted in v5, and I've dialed down the lights at the top one more time; I think now I can keep them in without distracting from the bottom portion. And with the smaller size, the two red lights provide more of a "cycle of vision" for the characters on the chess board.
