hahah cute expression! i'd work on adding textures to the cat--maybe some shading would work.

It needs a little work on looking more clean and sharp. It still has kind of a sketchy "hand-drawn" look about it. If you want to do some more shading or texture work on that cat fella I'd recommend looking up some of Jeremy Fish's work for inspiration. All of his stuff is very sharp, smooth and crisp. I also love the way he does shading in his works.



Yeah. You should probably just go Google Jeremy Fish. Even if you don't feel the need to add shading or any texture, just do it because your brain will thank you.

I haven't really cleaned it up yet. I just tried wanted to try something different with it first. I'm not sure if I should stick with the white or change it back to black.

I think he is amazingly cute, but he needs something more to make him a really punchy design. Also it bugs me how because of his tail he has to be placed so far over in the left corner, maybe curl the tail around him or in front of him and move him a little closer to the center? (though not all the way of course)

Should try and work on the design more, like maybe make him look a little dopey-er? Or give him a reason to be saying "Bwah"

And maybe work on the placement a little more, or change his size.

Wheres the hook? It's just some creature saying bwah....except hes not. He's not even saying bwah so it's just some wide mouthed creature. You could get away with this if it was a more graphic illustration, or you could change up the design? Maybe he's looking at something which makes him have that expression. Mabye change his position so that he's looking at you.

I tried adding the thought bubble. The character says "cat".

Well... Umm... This is the first time I see thsi design, and I can try.... IMO, the problem is that it's neither very "artistic" nor funny, so it's chances seem all little slim. I don't know if it's work the effort, but adding shades and maybe a small drool drop hanging out of the mouth would help...

So I ditched the thought bubble since I figured most people wouldn't get it. I also added some shading.

I'm wondering if there's any point in still working on this, or if anyone thinks I should just ditch the idea and start another one.

I suggest that you either develop this idea further or start another, you have what it takes artistically, but it just needs more support as an idea. Keep up the good work.

I would make him part of some bigger scene. He's a cute character but I don't think he's strong enough to carry a tee all on his own. Give him something to stare at? A big monster? a giant ball of yarn? big pile of fish? a portal to the stars? something...
