I can't believe the crap that gets printed on this site while artists like me are ignored.
I mean (Insert Artist Name Here), that guy/gal is the worst! he/she is printed so often that he/she must be sleeping with the entire Threadless staff. There can be no other reason.

How can his/her and other "Alumni's" (meh)
ideas and art compare to my ability to use filters on personal pictures in photoshop and slap them on a T-shirt?

I demand satisfaction!

Ok, just rejection...

In the span of a day I lost a bid for a great illustration gig (after doing a pitch illo)
as well as had two of my designs passed on by Woot.

So am I asking you to cry for me (Argentina) ? No, but it sure sucks.
But hey, we all know rejection is part of the game. So there is nothing to do but keep working.

What was your latest rejection? let us commiserate.

If I am not patient enough to wait 90 days to shop a design around somewhere else, who do I contact
to ask if Threadless wants something or if they are passing on it? Should I just use the standard contact us link, or do I contact someone directly?

Also would it be cool if I did that?

So a while back at work a few of us were selected to make posters for the agency. this was a rough sketch of mine, (the actual poster was never finished) and it was about the creative process.

I really liked the character and thought I could turn it into a fun design.

The design would be a bunch of these brain characters sort of like this but they would
all be a play on brain.

for instance:
brain storm,
brain dead,
brain teaser,
brain damage,
brain freeze,
brain rot ,
Shit for brains
brain trust,
bird brain,
brain drain,
brain wave
brain child
brain wash (thanks macdoodle)
brain surgeon
brain undead

which inspired me to take it a bit further. I've gotten the go ahead from
Terry to submit this idea.

New comp, posted , with new color palette (lighter keys) and faces on the keys which I kinda like.
Looking at Terry's comp though, I think it looks great without the faces too.

This is a rough sketch with alot of cut and paste, but the general idea is making a pirate
into a crazy cat lady, but of course instead of cats he is surrounded by parrots.

I would make sure do have a good helping of parrot poop in the design, so...

So what do you think?

PS the poster in the back that says "hang in there" would be hand drawn.

Update- I made a bit of progress on this, but it has a while to go.
