Life is kind of kicking my ass right now. I'm writing this, but I don't know if I'll post it. If I post it, I will probably delete it. But, yeah.
It's been a really shitty, awful year. And to be honest its getting worse, not better, despite trying to keep a Pollyanna outlook. I was head over heels in total love with a guy, and in all honesty really thought he was The One. So happy. So in love. And he decided he didn't love me after all, and that he is leaving not only me, but the country as well. And now he's with someone else. And was more than likely cheating on me with her whilst we were together. My grandfather passed away, and not being able to say goodbye, or be there with my family in New Zealand broke my heart. Work is awful. I can't go into why, but it's taking all my willpower to not just up and leave. My grandmother had a heart attack this morning. I've been spending all day by the phone waiting to hear more, and see if she is OK, but I won't know for a good few hours yet. Again being so far away from home and my family is really difficult. If you guys have any words of advice, or pictures of puppies, it would be really awesome. Getting tired of trying to keep my head above water. Sorry for the woe-is-me post. Sometimes you just have to talk.
Londoners - I'm getting rid of a whole bunch of old Threadless tees - am moving house and sadly I've realised I just don't wear them as much as I used to. I'd feel awful just throwing them away, but I don't have a car or the time to go and donate them anywhere...
So if you want any Girly Medium shirts, and you live in London, and you can get to Shoreditch in the next 2 days, they are yours! /end random blog
Hellooooooooo my lovelies!
I'm in the midst of planning a European Tour of Epic Proportions for my brother and I, and we are concentrating most of our time in Italy... I've already got us booked and going to Venice and the Cinque Terre (staying in Riomaggiore) but would love any other suggestions you have of favourite places! Most specifically places to stop and gawp at/stay in as we may our way down from Cinque Terre through Florence and on to Rome and eventually Naples... Someone recommeded Castiglion Fiorentino which looks AMAZING... If you've been anywhere you'd love or would recommend, I'd love to hear about it?! THANKS PEOPLE!!!
I might need a dress.
Like, not a black tie formal dress. But also not a florally casual dress. Got any ideas? You know how bad I am at this dress thang!
Do you have one?
What's on it? I wanna sail down the Amazon.
My brother is probably coming to London to do a 2 week course at Cambridge, and will be taking a month off to travel around Europe - so we are going to go travelling around together!
He's never been to Europe before, so is wanting to do the usual France, Italy, Greece - and whatever else we can fit in. So my question to you, my friends, is if you have any favourite places in Europe you have been? Anywhere different or out of the way? I'm really lucky in that I have been to quite a few places - so any suggestions of new or different places would be amazing! So far I'm thinking: Paris (don't want to. Bad memories, but he needs to see the Eiffel Tower!) Athens A greek island Florence Venice (a bit selfish - I've always wanted to go!) Sardinia Rome Any ideas? Wheeeeeeeee!!!!
What's making you smile right now?
Cause you know, sometimes it's hard to find a smile. And it would be awesome to have a pile of smiles here to come and visit. At the moment, this is what's warming my heart
Hello friends!
I'm heading to Chicago in a few weeks time for a holiday including hugs, beer, friends, and funtimes. So I thought I'd check with you guys and see if there's anywhere you'd recommend I go! I've been a few times now to Chicago, and I lurve it, but anything new/exciting/quirky/different would be amazing. Also, I'll be taking lots of photos with a new camera I've just ordered (wheeeeee!!!!) so am up for going for rambling photowalks to exciting places. Any advice would be awesome!
So, you know what we chicks do. You break up with someone, you change your hair. It's never conscious, but it appears I've done it a few times ;)
So, I'm thinking I might make a change! I've spent ages (and a lot of £££) going back to blonde, so I'm not changing that. But any ideas or suggestions of awesome haircuts would be amazing. ![]() NB. If Jebbie doesn't make an appearance in this blog I will be much sadface.
..turns out mine was a week or two ago!
Thank you people for being amazing wonderful friends through good times and bad... You are such an important part of my life and I am so lucky to have met so many of you and be able to call you my friends. Thank you x |
