This one is for the Ferraby Lionheart love promo. I think it pretty much speaks for itself. The song had a major influence on me when I was sketching ideas down and this is what I came up with. Here you have a guy wanting to put himself in the mindset and experience the feeling of embracing the one he loves the most. This can be unrequited love, lost love or simply someone missing his lover. For me personally it's unrequited love.



There are two proposals. I couldn't decide. One has his thoughts floating in the air (with him hugging the girl). The other has his thoughts right next to him. Please leave a comment, I'd truly appreciate it. Oh and a $5 if you really like it! Would mean the world to me ^_^ Thanks!

I think it would look even better without the couple. But if I had to choose, I'd pick the right one, because it looks weird how they float on the left side.

Yeah, I like it just with the guy hugging the tree. Lose the couple.

If it had just the guy & the tree I'd buy it. But it's still really really well drawn and I love how the tree fits perfect on the front of the shirt. Great job.

Just a thought here... what if you show him hugging the tree, and his thought being just the girl in "hug" position without him...

The girl appears to have no legs...

The guy reminds me of Micheal Jackson, and the thought of MJ hiding behind a tree in the woods... for that reason i'm not much of a fan, but still it's well vectorised.

He's really hugging that tree, hugging it a bit too much with his groin.

i like it with just the tree and guy, no couple.

A good tree-hugging would be nice, but he really does look like he is humping the tree with his legs wrapped around the trunk like that.

Is she a voluntary amputee? The idea you have typed out is interesting, but it does not come across clearly in your design. I also don't think your green tines look good, particularly as it gives your figures green skin. There is also awkward flow on the shirt proper. Lastly. The dude looks like he is being mature with that tree.

The concept doesn't come through 100% to me. I do feel a longing from the tree embrace element, though. I like the left one best.
