About my design

by damnhot
This design shows the glamourous side of being a Hollywood star and the dark background. I think this idea is very up to date ;-))

The design consists of 7 colours plus gold and silver foil applications. Please note that this design doesn't show any specific real person.

this references some of my favorite vintage poster/ad styles. Somehow it all fits together perfectly. Great color/design. I'd like to see a slightly smaller placement. I'm not getting the need for the foil, though.

I really like it. No need for the foil- just go with it. Best on olive.

I don't think you have to just limit it to Hollywood, either; this applies to many people.

Definitely 5$

I have a few comments. I actually feel that the shadow behind your main female figure is a tad distracting. You might see how the design works without it. Also, your main figure is a little too pale for my liking. By that I mean that I think you could push the contrast between the different colors that you use on her a bit more and it would be a better read. This has definite potential.

Dear Dimlylitstar, thanks for your detailled comment. Actually the shadow behind the female figure carries the message of the whole design, without it this design would be very 08/15 and realtively senseless. The colours of the main figure reference to some original colour codes of advertising campaigns in the 40s. I have chosen those pale colours because they give the main person a very breakable character and in contrast to the gold/silver applications brighter colours would make the design look cheap. Anyway thanks for your detailled comment, it's very intersting for me to lear from different point of views.
