Great illustration!
Fun stuff. Reminds me of the old cowboys and (east) indians shirt that was sold here long ago. ...Don't think I'd personally buy it because the gun at the back of the native americans head makes me sad. And I know some native americans could be just as vicious to settlers... gun violence just irks me, especially an unfair fight. But it is a very well done illustration. Looked at your other stuff, love THE YAWNS, Your Father was..., Ziggy Stardog, and If I Choke! Wish I saw them to vote for them in time! I like the range of styles you have, especially the weird and almost Schoolhouse Rock looking ones! |

I really hate to be the party pooper, but I am Ojibwe, and it's sort of hard to see an illustration of the genocide of your people?
I am not like this at all normally, I have no problem with mascots or being called indian or anything, but I guess I kind of feel like I am a jew, and I am looking at SS Officers killing jews on a merry go round? It's a great illustration, but yeah...kinda killed 6 million of us and an entire culture. |

Sorry, like I said, I normally don't have those kind of feelings, but it just struck a really sad tone with me. The rifle at the back of the indian's head was really the first thing I saw, and I couldn't get past the image of bounties that were places on the heads of my own ancestors.

normally in these types of situations I would think its someone overreacting or tryin to create controversy where there is none but I actually agree with you, It just seems like these days our ideas of native americans are practically cartoonish, we always over look the fact that it was indeed genocide sanctioned by the federal government. and alverejo I realize you meant absolutely no harm and I dont think I find it "offensive" but it is something to think about |
