Well in the creators defense there is something known as Polish-style Polka. It has it's origins in Chicago.

Not to diss on the design becasue I know the artists point was to do sometihng unique, but a plain bottle or on with a letter in it is more compelling to me.

The origins of vodka is indeed dubious, but for the most part it's birth is accredited to regions of the former Soviet Union.

the average onlooker isnt going to sit and study this design like we are ...there are some valid points mentioned above...but i think that this is a great design and i would totally wear it...

YES. I love the idea of a parody on alcohol, regardless of some of the issues others have brought up.

To whomever said Polish peasants do not polka, hah! They do so. They may not have invented it, but they do polka. :)

I agree with DelgadoArt...if someone just walks by you and glances at your shirt, they aren't going to suddenly whip out a history book and grill you for your ignorance of polka or alcohol. Good concept, so it's good.

well for the massive ammount of people who dont know that the polka isnt polish (which seems to be everyone who isnt polish, or a polka historian) it's great.
i like it, and it sounds like the only thing that people dont like about it is the Country of Poland thing. hell this is still a great idea, you could even do a series of them. golf scotch or crap like that. |
