yes, this is a scribble, but it is a very well done scribble at that. besides, i think it goes rather well on a shirt. sometimes simplicity works.

'it's simple... but brilliant' - blowing your own trumpet slightly there, sure its original and the ideas good, but i wouldn't call it brilliant. i think if it were to win, which i doubt, there'd be a fair few people questioning threadless about how it did. but nonetheless, its original, i give it that, so 3.

theres a fine line between concept and execution. on t-shirt graphics, you have to push the grey area between both. this design has a great amount of concept.

it is amazing that if there is any form of similarity between a submission and anything else in existence everyone here automatically assumes that the person ripped it off. I think it highly unlikely that anyone else has heard of or seen the logo for whatever tiny obscure health organization that was. Obviously now that it is in the light there are similarities...i just wish that the people here weren't so quick to hang someone because they didnt search every corner of the galaxy before submitting...just say there are some similarities and post the link...let the artist come forward and admit if it is a rip or not when faced with the evidence...
interesting design by the way...I am a big fan of free drawing at work or school... |

i think the scribble is the opposite of idle. the scribble shows energy and motion. restless, chaos, passion, i don't know... but definately not idle.

BTW Oscar Wilde no less said it was hard work being idle. Idle to me means doing something but doin it slow and with no purpose. when i'm idle i often scribble or just play random chords on the piano. Fab tshirt |

I think it's an interesting design, well executed and attractive (for a scribble ;) ), don't think I'd buy it, though.
And I'm also amazed at the vehemence of some of the users on here. Seriously, guys... state your criticism, at least make some sort of half-assed attempt to be constructive, and go on your merry way. Nothing like people making it their personal vendetta to be hateful assholes. |
