It seems a little too busy.

I'm not sure about the colors. Pastels and grunge? also, the "grunge" itself seems a little too photoshop brushy.



Did you photograph/illustrate the girl? If so, you did a good job. I think this has potential but it just needs a little more work.



BTW, Is that arabic text in the background? If so, what does it say? (i've never been good at identifying different languages)

Ok, absolutly no Photoshop brushes were used. I drew the girl by hand using a marker and no, it's not the girl from the Distilers.



The dirt is strips of paper that I've photographed and then taken the shades and vectorised them.



The text is Persian and reads "go to hell". If you find it offensive then fuck you, it's meant to. If you don't find it offencive, sweet, you are a thinking person.

Um, why is it that a "thinking person" wouldn't find 'go to hell' offensive? Does the phrase 'go to hell' have some deeper meaning within the design that I don't understand? 'Cause I doubt it. It just seems like pointless angry-teenage-style bullshit.

What ddcrandall found offencive wasn't the message, what he found offencive was the existence of "arabic" on a T-shirt. Personally I find prejudicism offencive.



Besides that, it's all in the interpretation. Is the message pointed at the person wearing the shirt or at the people reading it or perhaps to all the people looking at it without understanding (like ddcrandall for example)?

Depending on who wears it and who reads it, it can have different meanings. Are you saying "go to hell" to all Persian speaking people or are you saying "go to hell" to everyone else?or do you simply not care? After all, it's just a T-shirt, right?

Okay....I think it's a cool shirt and you did a really good job on it.

Everyone needs to chill. And Sixten, if you're going to tell people who get offended to 'fuck off' then you're not going to get very far on this site. It's not just about nice graphics, it's about creating universal concepts which appeal to the most people possible. Believe it or not, every one of these people's opinions counts whether they are rightfully offended or just being plain stupid, and you have to take that into account.



I don't particularly like this design anyway, but that's just personal preference. The image seems too large on the shirt and too angry for my taste. I also think since the style is very organic looking, that it would have worked better on an earthy color like sagestone or khaki. However, it obviously had a lot of time and work put into which I admire and it's still a neat design even if I wouldn't wear it.

I think the design is great, and if it's telling others to go to Hell? So what? There are people that walk around with "B!tch" stencilled across their chests, why should this be so offensive? There's an edginess to this one, which I like, and the curves of the Arabic script help add to its beauty - the words become part of the art. It could use a bit of cleaning up, as far as the girl goes, but other than that it's fine. Good work. Like Cheesecake noted, it probably took quite a bit of time...and it might look better on an earthy tone.

Yeah I agree, the color choice wasn't that great, I'll leave it up to the Threadless guys to decide on what colors to use if they choose to print it. I'm not really happy with the placement either, I should have made it a bit smaller and up on the other side of the chest instead. Oh well...

i like it but yeah how about your design on a grey, red, green or more darker colored shirt instead. it has a punk rock artsy feel but the baby blue makes it seem like a kiddie or teen-bop shirt. the design looks awesome though!

I used to date this chick. She was a great fuck, though all the dark eye makeup got to be a bit much.
