the pupil is the black center
the doily makes up the iris i like the concept, but.... the caruncle (inner pink corner) is at a very sharp upward angle, and should be either horizontal or angled slightly down the arm making the lower lid looks weird - i think it's because in general the lower lid is thin and the upper lid is heavier and the arm should extend so that it extends the length of the lid, with the cup at the corner of the eye possibly nit-picky, but anatomy that's close but "off" bothers me 4 |

Interesting idea, but it seems a bit overdone. I'd focus on the iris-as-table and drop the eyelid-arm. I think those ideas compete for attention. The perspective seems awkward.

This has to be one of the nicest pieces of vector work I've ever seen. There is so much detail, and it is so aesthetically pleasing, it's just amazing. I don't know if I'd actually wear it, but I'm giving you the $5 anyway due to how nice this piece is. |

the anatomy comment really bugged me.
rudra... (say it like "newmannnn") congratulations on your bionerdery. however, if the perspective were looking up at the eye, from down the nose (and you seem to be very familiar with down the nose...), the caruncle would be at a perfectly acceptable angle. possibly bitchy, but people who flaunt their "irrelevant knowledge" bug me. |

Very creepy, and very well-done. An interesting thing to try would be to have the flowers in the vase be longer and stemmier and leaning far to the right... and then they could maybe look like lashes. *shrug* But maybe that's just getting too literal...

Joining the choir here....this is a truly lovely shirt. 5$ To those who seem to think this should be a physically accurate representation of an eye in all respects, I ask: Is it just a picture of an eye? No. Then allow the artist artistic license...yeesh.
Since I'm a big fan of both M.C. Escher's "Eye" and Charles Allan Gilbert's "All Is Vanity," it makes sense that I'd be superkeen on your work, too. Keep it up! |

bortwein on Mar 27 '08 I was just looking back on this design and reading through some of the comments and I want to Thank All of you who really supported this design. It is still one of my favorites. Perhaps I should do a Rev 2 of this design with a splash of color added.
