very nice, love the execution. maybe throw in one more color for the skin, but that's not necessary I guess. Don't know what color you could put it on... mmmm maybe red or orange.. poppy, but not pink and I'm not sold on the baby blue 5 |

Dudes - settle... I want a silly walks shirt damn it!
So if you can do better (as I know you can) submit one for me and I'll give you great marks - minus the cheek. Of course it’s a rip off – I say as much right there in the title (if you know your Monty Python). Darker shirts give it an inverted affect that doesn't look nice at all – rip off design will look sweet on any light colour though. Zim - *sighs* you are so cute when you’re mad... keep up the good work. |

I really like this (Sorry, don't know about the Monty Python relation so I leave that to the experts), but agree that light blue shirt and the light grey of the design isn't working. Plain black would be a better choice, though certain other colors could work too. Black on white shirt would be better, but black on light pink and "lemon" would be my choices. The text ISN'T working, font doesn't go, I think it would be better without the text but at least give it a better font. Lastly, the center figure isn't contorted (or whatever) enough to make sense of going from figure 2 to 4. I suppose I'm not making these suggestions to all who would attempt this as Neatski invites others to perfect it. Good luck (Especially on the copyright stuff!;)

Look at all you damn people, giving the thumbs up and thumbs down to incoming and outgoing trends and styles of art. Your opinions seems to be determined by an unseen pannel of hipster judges. When you walk by a group of 'normal people' you chuckle to yourself, patting yourself on the back as you stop, it's the same superiority complex shared by the high school jocks who made your life a living hell and it make you a slave to the competitive , capitalist dogma, that you spend every moment of your waking life bitching about!!

Just because there is a shirt that already has John Cleese doing the Ministry of Silly Walks on it doesn't mean that the idea is off limits. There was a tshirt of the Mona Lisa with Dali like alterations on it that is a design on this site, and I'm sure that many other examples are out there. The images are much cripser than on the offical t-shirts, and I do like the French text. So, in closing, I'd buy it.

I already own a "silly walks" tee and it has to be said that it looks better than the submission. Maybe if you incorporated the "silly walks" into an original desig then i would reconsider.

I don't think this really has a shot of getting printed here, but if it was, I'd buy it. I'm sure most of the people who are ridiculing Neatski for being blatantly inspired and not buying the official merchandise ALWAYS buy dvds and cds, (or for the hipsters, LPs) and NEVER download music or movies, because they know everything about giving their idols royalties. |

There's nothing original about this shirt...I would love to see a Monty Python joke on a t-shirt, but you're going to have to make an original reference to it yourself...you know? Like Dark Side of the Garden, but more awesome!

I adore Monty Python, and I would buy this shirt in a heart beat. I just don't know if the design is original enough. I mean, I have seen a lot of shirts that parody popular things... video games, moveis, personalities, but they all add their own twist. This shirt looks like a vector trace of the original silly walk, and therefore not very original.

apart from it not being very original, the spacing is all wrong. Its like youve got little guys growing out of your armpits, but nothing in the middle. Colour is also pretty pukey!

I'm sure I've seen it actually on peoples chests in the 90's. There was an AUS band called "The Queue" that had this frame-sequence as the graphics on their flyers.

This design is quite obviously different to the Imaginary Foundation shirt, which uses the evolution idea, not a sequence of silly walks. It's very similar to the Noflysonus design, but two people having the same idea doesn't necessarily mean one copied it from the other, when it's an idea that's out there and many people are familiar with the sketch.
You can't copyright an idea, people, you can only copyright the execution of the idea. The men on this shirt are clearly reminiscent of John Cleese, but they aren't simply his image from the sketch stuck on a shirt. I can't see a large enough image of the Noflysonus design to tell whether any of the images on this shirt are actually copied from it, but if they're not direct copies and just using a common source for the idea, it is not a problem. |

I don't understand why everyone is saying this is "stolen". Obviously the designer knows and loves Monty Python. Obviously this is not a rip, its a tribute. Monty Python is old enough and so classic enough and is a part of every day culture and comedy. Show me a link where we can by Monty Python apparel from the makers of Monty Python and we'll get their shirts instead. until then quit being haters.
