the guitar person and the white person's legs together are confusing me, or is that shadow? i like your design and colors.

i have to say, just looking at this makes me a little happier, however the composition could use some work and yes, that white person is throwing me off.

The white person is a silhouette/shadow guys - I think that's more obvious when there isn't a t-shirt in the background. I did try putting a half tone on him to make it more obvious but it just complicated the image. Hardest thing about the image was I didn't want to over complicate it so I took out anythiing I saw as unnecessary detail. As for the legs, the silhouette guy's leg stops half way up the guitar dudes, the guitar dude's leg is t-shirt coloured.

Thankyou everyone for the feedback.

The happy, dancing dog is the best thing on the shirt.

No one else gets a shadow, so the happy guitar guy doesn't need one IMO - This makes me smile (and just say no to blue) BROWN!

:) It's not the guitar guy's shadow, it's a guy dancing in the background. I think maybe the plane I put him on is a bit wrong, he should probably be smaller to make him look further back so that it is obvious that he is shaded out because he is in the background.

i think the main problem with the silhuette guy is that he's an attention grabber / "focus point" without an obvious reason. if there was a meaning or a punchline, it'd be understandable, but it seems as though you're saying "hey, check this out!" when you draw our attention to the guy, and there's nothing special about him.

maybe there's a meaning that i didn't see.

if there isn't, perhaps putting a normal person there would be better.

other than that, it's a good shirt (sorry, i always write more criticism than good words)

Thankyou alia for good constructive criticism and I think I agree with you. It would probably have worked better if I had used the original detail instead of the silhouette. It had originally seemed like a fun thing to do in the design but that was probably because I was messing about with colour mapping and also because I was worried about over-complicating the design. After everyone's feedback I do think it's the weakest part of the design and had a suspicion that that may be the case before I submitted the design. Lesson learned I think :). I don't know if it would be worth altering the design and resubmitting... am new to threadless so don't know if it ever is.
